This frock is a linen blend, has a square neck and a back kick pleat. Also has a cap sleeve with a gusset underarm and an attached belt - snaps and hook and eyes close belt at the back.
This is the perfect dress to wear to a springtime wedding or other event. It is just a lovely, simple, elegant dress.
I do know Adele Simpson was a significant designer beginning in Post WWII America, but I didn’t know she was a child star in vaudeville! According to Wikipedia she adapted French couture techniques and worked them into American ready-to-wear.
