1970s Crushed Velveteen Suit

$250.00

It is no wonder why we all love vintage: you can’t get something like this at the mall! It’s too amazing! It looks like a cotton twill velveteen, and there are no other tags besides a “Dry Clean Only”, so that makes me think it’s not homemade

The jacket has groovy wide notched lapels and long set-in sleeves. Constructed with princess seams, it features a one button closure and it LOOKS like it has pockets, but it doesn’t. Those are just dummy pocket welts!

The pants have a yoke front and zip in the back. Unfortunately, the bottom of the leg hem have some discoloration on the back, but I don’t think it’s noticeable at all, and I also don’t think it detracts from the garment. These are some elephant bells, and they could not be more amazing! If you were so inclined, you could press the pleats on the front and it will look like a maxi skirt. My ironing skills are not great, so I didn’t attempt to press them myself.
